Green Mountain is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Construction Foreman to add to our civil crew and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the construction excavator/heavy machinery. This position oversees specific site construction from the very start when the site is prepared in readiness for the commencement of the work all the way through to completion. Ensure the sites are completed efficiently and economically and in a safe and timely manner. This position is considered a working supervisor and oversees on site civil labor. Green Mountain serves the New England area and unlike other companies in the industry, our employees are not away from home for weeks at a time. This person must be a self-starter, team player and looking to grow in their field while at Green Mountain.

Job Responsibilities
Oversee and direct field team members and is responsible for the training and development of civil crew personnel. The civil foreman is considered a working supervisor that relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Works with on-site labor to effectively perform civil construction for telecommunication sites and ensures the sites are completed safely, efficiently and effectively. Typical jobs require minor trench work and conduit placement, along with forming, pouring, and finishing small concrete pads, and additional associated tasks.
Responsible for operating equipment such as excavators, skid steers, lulls and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Responsible for accurate inventory of tools, materials, and planning jobs effectively to complete on schedule.
Conduct trench work, which meets occupational safety requirements. Ensure trenching is excavated to the proper depth/grade.
Effectively communicates and interacts with Project Managers, customers, vendors, subcontractors and the public, as well as with other employees.
Must possess the ability to work with hand and power tools as needed. Performs a variety of tasks. Travel throughout New England is required.
Job Requirements
Prior experience in civil or general construction.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Experience operating machinery preferred.
Valid Driver’s License. CDL a plus, but not required at hiring.
Ability and understanding of safe work practices.
Effective communication skills.
Able to work in varied weather conditions.
MA 2A/1B licenses are a plus but not required at hiring.
