Green Mountain Awarded MassDOT Project
June 11, 2013 – (Pembroke, NH) – Green Mountain, a premier integrated communication solutions provider, is proud to announce that they have been awarded the MassDOT project to furnish and deliver trailer-mounted, wireless-capable, light-emitting diode portable variable message signs (PVMS) and truck-mounted PVMS displays that meet MassDOT requirements. This is a yearlong project with four one-year extensions available.
The outcome of this project will allow MassDOT to better serve its communities and roadways with new, advanced technologies that are reliable and increase traffic safety across the State of Massachusetts. These project services are available to MassDOT departments including all constitutional offices, the legislature, and the judiciary; cities, towns, municipalities, counties, and other political subdivisions of MassDOT; schools and other service districts; authorities, commissions, institutions of higher education, and quasi-public agencies, not-for-profit contractors currently contracting with MassDOT to provide human and social services; and other eligible entities designated in writing by the State Purchasing Agent that execute a separate contract that meets their own legal and business requirements.
“We look forward to our continued partnership with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and are eager to break ground on this new project,” states Victor Drouin, President of Green Mountain. “Our continued success as a company is based upon the relationships we build and our dedication to quality and excellence that deliver the most advanced technologies the industry has to offer.”
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is a merger of the Executive Office of Transportation and Public Works (EOT) and its divisions with the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority (MTA), the Massachusetts Highway Department (MHD), the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV), the Massachusetts Aeronautics Commission (MAC), and the Tobin Bridge, currently owned and operated by the Massachusetts Port Authority (MPA).
The mission of the MassDOT is to deliver excellent customer service to people who travel in the Commonwealth, and to provide the nation’s safest and most reliable transportation system in a way that strengthens the economy and quality of life. For more information, visit www.massdot.state.ma.us.
