Town of New Shoreham, RI – Block Island

The Town of New Shoreham, RI project involved designing, licensing, and installation of a 1 Gbps microwave (MW) link between Block Island, RI and the mainland. The system included a 14.5-mile path length required a full diversity MW path to achieve the throughput and reliability specifications. The new system provided the island with a critical redundant backup path for Block Island communications.
