Quality, reliability, safety, and expertise. They’re not just words. They’re how we’ve built a 30-year history of excellence in our industry.
Company Overview
Communication is a necessity for creating vibrant, thriving communities and organizations. And with today’s telecommunication technologies, we can connect in more ways than ever before. At Green Mountain, we’re proud of the role we play as a leader in this dynamic industry.
Our Story
When Green Mountain Communications’ founders Victor and Catherine Drouin met, they were twelve years old. They were still friends in 1981 when Victor graduated high school and went to work with his uncle in telecommunications construction. He spent the summer climbing microwave towers across the Northeast, and by the time fall rolled around, he knew he’d found his niche.
Victor and Catherine got married in 1985. After the birth of their second son, they decided to leverage everything they’d learned in Victor’s 12+ years in the industry to start their own telecommunications construction company.
Thirty years later, Green Mountain Communications became one of the few telecommunications construction companies to adopt an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which enables us to fully embrace the strengths that have made us a leader in our industry: team members who care about each other and our clients, the unmatched quality of our work, and our uncompromising commitment to safety. As a 100% employee-owned company, we are proud to share stock ownership with over 60 field technicians and administrative staff, and we’re still growing, serving wireless carriers, state and municipal governments, and businesses in need of reliable telecommunications solutions.
What’s next for Green Mountain? If history is any indicator, we’ll be around for a long time to come, building and maintaining broadband infrastructure, designing complex networks, and continuing to push the industry forward through our expertise and culture of innovation.
Our Mission
We help our customers provide critical communications and public safety services by delivering the highest-quality work, backed by our commitment to professionalism, trust, and reliability. That’s why we’re the go-to construction partner for wireless carriers, governments, businesses, and utilities in New England who rely on us to get the job done right, on time, and on budget.

The work is different every day, but one thing stays the same: We care about what we’re doing, and it shows.

With sales growing by 350% in the first year of operation, it was time for the company to communicate its position as a leader in New England telecommunications construction with a new name.
Named after co-founders Victor and Catherine Drouin, the company got its start in a rental home in Wolfeboro, NH. With no employees and a desk in the master bedroom, the Drouins quickly gained momentum installing the on-the-ground antenna networks for the first telephones in commercial aircraft.
